Overview
Filamentous Influeza Virus

An important feature of the program over the years has been a monthly meeting of all CMBD trainees for the purpose of presenting and discussing ongoing research. These Research in Progress meeetings occur during the academic year on the second Wednesday of each month, from 5-7 PM, and are informal. The meetings alternate between the two campuses, so they provide an important opportunity for students on one campus to visit the other. At each Research in Progress meeting, two CMBD trainees present their recent research, in a forum that provides them with critical feedback and sparks discussions that often lead to ideas for new approaches and collaborations. For many trainees, Research in Progress provides an initial opportunity to hone their presentation skills prior to giving presentations at national research conferences.
