Works better on wing discs. This antibody recognizes both the engrailed and invected gene products of Drosophila, but the epitope is not yet precisely mapped. The antibody recognizes the product of engrailed genes in other arthropods including Manduca sexta, grasshopper, and Artmeia, but does not appear to work on vertebrates.
