Biotek Plate Washers

The ELx405 Microplate Washer Family

ELx405 family of washers provides the same flexibility and control as the ELx50 strip washer, but does so 96-wells at a time. The ELx405 Select provides 96- and 384-well compatibility without hardware changes. Using a patented dual manifold assembly this microplate washer will address 96 wells at a time. If a 384-well plate is selected via the keypad the plate is washed in four sequential quadrants. This model is also robotics compatible for those with high throughput requirements. The ELx405 Magna provides rare-earth magnate for magnetic bead assay washing. The magnet will hold ferrite beads securely while sample fluids are aspirated, then the magnet is automatically removed when wash fluids are dispensed allowing for maximal sample washing. For those requiring only standard 96-well washing, the ELx405 microplate washer is available. Both microplate washer types are available with an optional valve module that allows the concurrent use of different wash buffers.
