Laboratory Adventures in the Biological Sciences (L.A.B.S.)
is a fun, hands-on program at Northwestern University
designed for grade-school children (grades 1 through
7) to challenge and excite interests in laboratory-based
biology. The participants will work in small groups
with advanced Northwestern undergraduate student-teachers
to perform experiments that illustrate the excitement
and wonder that science offers. The 2011 L.A.B.S. program
will feature laboratory exercises on biotechnology,
molecular biology, genetics and cell biology.
A short video on L.A.B.S. can be viewed at You Tube.
