  It is a combustible liquid with a boiling point of 164 degrees C (329 degrees F), similar in its chemical nature to cumene or gasoline. It is used as a modifier in the manufacture of heat resistant ABS resins with applications in the automotive and electrical industries, for waterheaters, and household machinery.
