AKA: acetylsalicylic acid
A compound that is part of a group of drugs called salicylates.
Aspirin is widely used for relieving pain and reducing
fever in adults. It also relieves mild itching and reduces
swelling and inflammation. Use of aspirin by children
has been linked to the occurrence of a disorder known
as Reye’s Syndrome. |
