- Dpp promotes formation of most of the SOs of the notum and of some
of those in the wing. Most of the SOs located close to the A/P compartment
border of the wing and the position of veins 3 and 4, however, do not
respond to altered Dpp levels. Our results provide new evidence for
the morphogenetic function of Hh in the wing disc by a mechanism that
does not involve only Dpp. (Mullor, 1997)
